The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), known as the “Summer Lunch Program” provides FREE nutritious lunches and snacks to youth ages 1 through 18 at our City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks recreation centers. The goal of the program is to ensure children receive at least one nutritious and balanced meal per day when school is not in session. The Summer Food Service Program is open to all youth ages 1 through 18.

NOTE: Persons with disabilities 19 years and older can also participate as long as they are in enrolled in a school or private non-profit formal programs.

The SFSP offers a free Snack Program at 100 parks citywide. The service is offered during the off-track period. The snacks are served in the afternoon and consist of two items such as yogurt and juice. Click HERE for a list of parks and serving time.

During the summer months, the SFSP provides a free lunch and snack program at over 100 sites. The lunch menu offers a variety of entrees such pizza packs, turkey/cheese hoagie-all lunches include milk. Click HERE for a list of sites and serving times.

SUMMER 2010 LUNCH & SNACK PROGRAM

The SUMMER 2010 Lunch & Snack Program will operate June 21, 2010 to August 20, 2010. Click HERE to find the site nearest you serving lunch and snack. The program offers FREE lunch and snack service to children and teens ages 1-18. Menus can be accessed below.
